Going Large

by clergyman @ 24/05/2006 - 21:27:19

Steve's currently pencilling all 24 pages of Island of Terror. He's done the first 6-page episode, and pretty spectacularly good it is too! I saw the breakdowns for part 2 and you can already see that's gonna be superb :)

Meanwhile I'm holding off on Holt Bros for the time being, so I can contribute another 8-page Walking Wounded story to act as a backup feature to Island. I've had the idea for a couple of weeks, it's just been a question of actually sitting down to write the thing! Sometimes the day job can be such a chore :(

Bosher & Bristol

by clergyman @ 15/05/2006 - 18:17:55

The script for Bosher's Goals is finished. It should probably be in colour, which will take longer, and Steve isn't going to start drawing it until after Island of Terror is done. It's turned out quite well, though, so should be worth reading when online!

Steve and I popped along to the Bristol Comic Expo at the weekend, which was our first visit to such an event and very informative. We picked up loads of Small Press stuff, both to show support and also to check out the competition.

I was particularly taken by the Hope for the Future graphic novels as published by ComiXpress. Looks like a Massacre trade paperback could be on the cards...

by random-chance @ 03/05/2006 - 20:12:24

not including the extras fridrich and hans are the last 2 cast menmbers for part 1. i pretty much used the drawing to have 2 more trys at the airman uniform.

almost ready to go

by random-chance @ 03/05/2006 - 14:51:34

Nearly able to get down to business now, the last 2 central charters are Bob Bandit and German airman Karl. Bob is meant to be tough as old coffin nails and none to bothered about looking fancy. His crumpled suit and angular face eco the landscape of Bundy island.

Patch guy, some days poses work other days they don't, this is a don't. I’m happy with the look of the character and both are now ready to use in future storeys. i think i'm more and more getting the hang of inking with brush.

The extras, little guy and patch man are basically extras from the resistance that went mad that have been taken over to being extras in island of terror. As regular characters they get the same detail as the main cast. They represent the last returning characters. Little guy never had much of a face, he used to be defined by being short and having big glasses. I’m quite happy with his look.
